Glint

A lil LED toy you tilt, shake and double tap. I saw one at a Maker Faire, thought "I bet I can make that", and went and found out.

A small LED tile propped on a blue workbench mat behind a white diffuser, its grid glowing in soft reds, yellows and lavenders, wired to an ESP32 on protoboard and a breadboard.

Build log

  1. A flexible 8x8 LED panel propped up on a workbench, its top row glowing red and the rest violet, blue and cyan with one bright white pixel, throwing blue light across the surface behind it.

    I bet I can make that

    My kid was enamored with a lil LED tile in the Maker Faire dark room. In the two seconds I got with it myself, I had the thought: I bet I can make something like that.
